Who is Lori Harvey’s Former Fiancé?

Lori Harvey is the queen of dating. At least according to Vice. Showing the world how to date and date well, the model and businesswoman has been linked to a number of famous men of her time. Among the eligible bachelors she allegedly had a romantic relationship with? Sean “Diddy” Combs, Trey Songz and Future. Yes, it’s clear that Harvey knows how to pick a man.

Perhaps her most famous relationship? Well, that would have to be Michael B. Jordan. Harvey and the ‘Black Panther’ actor had a very high-profile romance for more than a year, and weren’t afraid to make their one-time love for each other very obvious on social media (Harvey later erased all memories of Jordan from her side, though .awks). Their breakup happened in June, 17 months after they made things official on Instagram, with a source claiming to People at the time that Jordan reportedly wanted to get more serious when Harvey was ready. “She still wants to have fun and be free,” they claimed, noting that the two realized they didn’t want the same thing when Michael clarified that he envisioned a future with Steve Harvey’s stepdaughter.

Harvey and Jordan don’t appear to have publicly confirmed the reason for their split just yet, but according to the insider, it wouldn’t be the first time a big commitment hasn’t really worked out for Lori. ..

Lori Harvey was engaged to Memphis Depay

Before her romance with Michael B. Jordan, Lori Harvey got very serious with soccer player Memphis Depay. In case you didn’t know, Depay is a famous soccer player from the Netherlands who has played for some really big times around the world. The athlete played for Manchester United in Great Britain from 2015 to 2017, and then moved to the French team Olympique Lyonnais from 2017 to 2021. He then joined Spanish side FC Barcelona later that year, according to WhoScored.com, Depay is also a proud supporter of his home country, having played for the Netherlands since 2013. All that hard work has also provided Depay with quite a nest egg. According to Sportskeeda, the soccer player is said to be worth around $23 million.

Lori isn’t the only famous face this star has been linked to, either. Before his romance with the celebrity daughter of Steve and Marjorie Harvey, he was linked to model Karrueche Tran in 2015 on Who’s Dating Who. Then, after splitting from Lori, he apparently started dating Chloe Bailey, who fans may know best as one half of Chloe x Halle. Depay apparently confirmed their relationship on July 1 with an Instagram Stories post in honor of her 24th birthday. The snap showed Bailey holding an FC Barcelona jersey at the team’s empty stadium alongside the caption (via The Shade Room): “Happy Birthday Queen. This is just the beginning. The world is not ready. I love you.” Super cute!

What happened between Lori Harvey and Memphis Depay?

Lori Harvey and Memphis Depay went public with their romance in January 2016, according to the Daily Mail, when Depay shared since-deleted snaps of himself and then 19-year-old Lori cuddling at the Eiffel Tower for his birthday. And it wasn’t long before the soccer star popped the question to his beloved. Lori’s stepdad Steve Harvey confirmed the big news Twitter in June 2017 alongside a snap of Depay on one knee as he prepared to finger slide Lori’s stunning ring. “Marjorie and I are proud to announce the engagement of our youngest daughter Lori to Memphis Depay, this young man is a fine man! Congratulations!” he wrote.

But by March 2018, there was speculation that the two had quietly ended things after Bossip speculated they had seemingly not gotten any closer to that aisle. The former couple deleted all traces of each other from their social media pages, and Lori later opened up about the split in June 2021, suggesting she might just be too young to get engaged. “I’ve grown up a lot and learned a lot from that relationship,” she told Bustle. “And so I think as I got older and evolved as a woman, I took that knowledge with me: to learn what I like, what I don’t like, and just apply it to where I am now.”
