Who is Lark On Claim To Fame?

Claim to Fame viewers have finally learned that Lark Skov is actually supermodel Cindy Crawford’s cousin… but what more do we know about Skov himself?

As Newsweek reported in late August, Claim to Fame audiences had long suspected that Skov was related to Crawford. However, the clues to her identity — that she was the niece of an ’80s supermodel and had ties to a certain George Clooney — weren’t the only clues they gave away. While contestants may not have been able to access social media to guess their competitors’ identities, fans at home did. One Twitter user claimed, “Lark is 100% related to Cindy Crawford!” The proof? She pointed out that Skov was followed on Instagram by none other than Kaia Gerber, aka Cindy Crawford’s supermodel daughter (and lookalike, but we digress). Another giveaway hint? Crawford also previously shared a picture of herself with her mother and her two sisters, Chris Bohnsak and Danielle Skov, on Instagram. Yup – Skov may have made it pretty far into the competition, but there’s no denying her lineage! As for the connection to George Clooney, Crawford’s husband Rande Gerber is the actor’s longtime bestie and co-founder of the now-sold Casamigos Tequila.

Though we may finally know who Skov is related to, the ‘Claim to Fame’ star has just stepped into the spotlight herself. So what do we know about them?

She is a talented athlete

Lark Skov may have ties to some legendary stars in Cindy Crawford and Kaia Gerber, but when it comes to rowing, she holds her own. In fact, we wouldn’t be shocked if one day she made her mark as a pro in the sport.

According to the University of Washington Athletics website, Skov is a member of the university’s rowing team — and a talented one at that. Her biography lists numerous victories with her teams and even notes that she has previously competed internationally. In 2019, she won a bronze medal at the World Under-23 Rowing Championships when she competed with the US Women’s Eighth. Skov was also recognized as the ‘Most Inspirational’ Team Member of 2020.

Additionally, the Claim to Fame contestant previously earned recognition for her accomplishments on Washington Rowing’s Instagram page. One picture shows her and a team member posing in their medals at the World Rowing Under 23 Championships. In another, she and other seniors and graduates are commended for being champions in life as well as champions in the water. No word on whether the rest of the team knew that a budding TV show contestant was in their midst at the time.

Lark leads a relatively private life… for now

At the time of writing, Lark Skov’s Instagram was set to private, and it doesn’t seem like she has a huge social media presence outside of the platform. Ditto for her mom, Danielle Skov, so we’re guessing that means we don’t have to dig up the kind of awkward-yet-cute pics moms are known for. It may have been a strategic move on her part — to avoid too many people putting two and two together and cracking the code of their celebrity connection sooner. Ah, if it weren’t for Kaia Gerber’s Instagram followers…

However, there’s also a chance that Skov might want a more private life than her famous relatives. Finally, according to her bio on the University of Washington Athletics website, she majored in linguistics and recently graduated. That’s not to say she doesn’t want to pursue a career in the spotlight at some point in the future… but at least for now, we’re in the dark about her plans.

Until then, we’ll probably settle for catching a glimpse of her on Claim to Fame — but we’ll also be keeping an eye on Kaia Gerber’s Instagram, just in case.
