Wendy Williams has a long-standing feud with Will Smith

Wendy Williams rubbed quite a few people the wrong way, it’s safe to say. Williams made her fair share of enemies during her time on the radio and fronting “The Wendy Williams Show” before her sad demise, with pretty much everyone who is anyone feeling the wrath of her extremely candid opinions.

One of the biggest names to slam the controversial talk show hos? Mariah Carey. The “Obsessed” singer has slammed Williams on more than one occasion, perhaps most famously by shadowing the talk show host (who has shared her opinion of Carey on numerous occasions) via a social media video. This came after BuzzFeed reported that Williams claimed on her talk show that Lee Daniels suggested that Carey was, in Williams’ words, “fragile” and shouldn’t have her own reality show after she announced the E! Series “Mariah’s World”. However, Carey didn’t take it. In a cheeky video, which is still available through her Facebook page, Carey could be seen kicking Daniels as he told the camera, “I’m the b***h that’s fragile.” Don’t come for us unless we call The Wendy Williams Show for you,” Carey added in the caption. THE SHADE!

But, of course, Carey is far from the only one clapping back at Williams – and Will Smith knew when it was his turn.

Will Smith slammed Wendy Williams in a rap

Will Smith, how are you? Obviously not great when it comes to Wendy Williams. This dates back at least to 2005, when Smith Williams in his song “Mr. Niceguy” challenged. In it, he makes his feelings very clear, rapping, “Wendy Williams, you don’t know me / I’m not your punching bag, you’re gonna blow me / Off, girl, you better leave me alone / Before I buy your radio station and send you home.” .” Well, it’s safe to say those lyrics weren’t too cryptic to decipher. What Williams had to say about the shoutout? She told The Hollywood Reporter in 2012, “Without those song mentions, I might not be in the TV. There’s a big part that maybe never heard of me on the radio… So I love her for it.” Fair enough!

Williams continued to chat about Smith on her show after his lyrical diss, though she never could put her two cents into it, was the infamous Oscars 2022 slap in the face when Smith took to the stage to give Chris Rock a piece of his Ghost. Williams was on hiatus from her talk show at the time (before it controversially ended without her), which left many viewers disappointed that they never got to hear her take on the drama. “With this whole Chris Rock & Will Smith situation, I miss our messy queen of daytime TV, Wendy Williams,” one person tweeted.

Will Smith’s co-star also had beef with Wendy Williams

Though we’ve never really heard what Wendy Williams made of Will Smith and Chris Rock’s drama on The Wendy Williams Show, her name got a little fleshed out by an unexpected person. Yes, the original Aunt Viv on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Janet Hubert, defended her on-screen son and admitted that she previously had to hold back the urge to hit. whoops “There’s only so much you can take… sometimes you gotta fight back,” she wrote in an Instagram message that’s apparently since been deleted, per Hip Hop DX. “I can’t tell you how many times I’ve wanted to beat the mess out of so many people who didn’t respect me,” she wrote in another since-deleted post, before adding another: “Well, there were quite a few a lot of people that i wanted to gossip, but i didn’t because… if i probably could, i would if i could. Underneath? Michael Yo, Tamron Hall and of course Wendy Williams.

But that was the first time Herbert Williams called. She had some very harsh words for the talk show host in 2013 (via The Hollywood Reporter), saying, “You’re such a demon Wendy. You are evil, terrible, sneaky, sinister, mischievous, jealous of every other woman. Put simply, “Wendy, you’re a virus,” before telling her she’d never be on the same level as Oprah Winfrey. Ouch.
