Twitter is outraged by the lack of security at BravoCon 2022

Things took a terrifying turn on the first day of BravoCon 2022. On October 14, the much-anticipated annual convention welcomed fans to the Javits Center in New York City. Over the next few days, Bravolebrities from the Real Housewives franchise, Southern Charm, Vanderpump Rules, Summer House, and more will feature it all with hilarious and sure to be dramatic performances. From Sutton Stracke and Jill Zarin to Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula, tea will definitely be split among the Bravolebrities lineup, per E! News.

Even Real Housewives creator Andy Cohen will be making several appearances with live versions of his hit late-night talk show Watch What Happens Live. In an interview with Variety, the TV host teased that fans should stay alert for potential drama. “The thing about that is you never really know what’s going to happen to someone,” he explained. “They caught me at two ‘Ask Andy’ panels and I don’t know if the PR is concerned because sometimes you put me in front of an open mic and we don’t know what he’s going to say.” But during the first day BravoCon started smoothly, but quickly took an unexpected and frightening turn.

Fans smash BravoCon 2022 over uncontrollable crowds

On day one of BravoCon 2022, attendees were left shaken after a large group of fans rushed past security for the panel “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” which featured the entire cast except for Diana Jenkins. According to People, raving fans left the panel’s designated line to rush to the stage. “There was an issue where we couldn’t clear the room after a panel ended while the audience was filling in for the RHOBH panel,” Bravo told the above publication. “Security acted immediately to ensure the safety of everyone present.”

While organizers assured the event of a safe and great experience going forward, some fans have criticized the popular network for a lack of control and organization on social media. One fan tweeted, “So scary I got pushed and how I reacted to my boyfriend back then and a girl got in my face.” Another person tweeted, “If anyone is sad about missing BravoCon don’t do it . Apparently it’s so bad that there are people asking for a refund at the box office.” The Twitter user added that the “panels were too full” and that some Bravolebrities didn’t show up for scheduled photo ops. It’s safe to say that BravoCon 2022 is anything but boring – and that was just day one.
