Travis Barker’s health is reportedly moving in the right direction after being diagnosed with pancreatitis

While his fans have heard a lot about tragic details from Travis Barker’s life over the years, they were unprepared for this latest development. The legendary punk drummer was taken to an emergency hospital on June 28th. According to TMZ, Travis was admitted to Cedar Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles with his wife, Kourtney Kardashian. Few details were available at the time, except for his cryptic tweet, which read, “God bless me.” His daughter, Alabama Barker, asked her Instagram followers for her prayers via People, prompting speculation that what Travis was doing it with had to do was really serious. Meanwhile, at the same time, his son Landon Barker was performing a concert with Travis’ good friend and collaborator Machine Gun Kelly in New York. A source close to the situation revealed: “Landon came out during the song and seemed to be training some demons. They hugged on stage during the performance, sang and shared an emotional moment at the end of the song before Landon left.”

It turned out that Travis was suffering from severe, life-threatening pancreatitis. Thankfully, things seem to be moving in the right direction for him now that the drummer recently shared a health update with his fans.

Travis Barker’s health is now stable

According to Entertainment Tonight, Travis Barker took to his Instagram story on July 2 to update his fans about his condition. Explaining he had an endoscopy earlier in the week, he wrote: “During the endoscopy I had a very small polyp removed right in the very sensitive area that is usually treated by specialists and unfortunately damaged a critical pancreatic drainage tube. This led to severe, life-threatening pancreatitis.” Barker has since been discharged from the hospital and even celebrated the July 4th holiday with Kourtney Kardashian and her children, as described by Page Six. Kardashian shared clips of the couple cruising around in Barker’s orange truck .

Additionally, Kardashian’s mom, Kris Jenner, sent Barker flowers following his discharge from the hospital, per Us Weekly. It sounds like Barker’s health is headed in the right direction. That, and as expected, he’s also received a lot of love and support from his family.
