Tori Spelling’s long rift with her mother may be coming to an end

Tori Spelling and her mother, Candy Spelling, have had quite a difficult relationship over the years. However, it seems that things have turned around.

According to The Independent, the relationship between the two began to fall apart in the mid-2000s, around the time Tori began an extramarital affair with now-husband Dean McDermott. Then Tori’s father, famous TV producer Aaron Spelling, died. Tori reportedly received the devastating news from a friend because her mother refused to call her. After that, the Beverly Hills 90210 star and her brother Randy Spelling each received just $800,000 from their father’s $500 million estate.

In 2009, Candy told People that things between her and her daughter had only gotten worse. “I don’t see Tori and Dean anymore,” she told the outlet. At the time, she was also reportedly not spending time with the couple’s eldest son, Liam, and had not met their daughter Stella. However, now there seems to be peace and love between the two!

Tori Spelling and her mom Candy used to hang out

Despite their beef, Tori Spelling and Candy Spelling appear to have rekindled their relationship in recent years. Back in 2019, Tori told Andy Cohen on an episode of Watch What Happens Live that the two are doing really well. The Messyness co-host recently celebrated Candy’s birthday with her brother Randy. Tori shared in an Instagram post, “I don’t think the three of us[just the three of us]have gone out to dinner together in 20 years. Anything to celebrate our mother!”

In early September, the daughter and mother were also spotted enjoying a day at the beach in the Malibu sun. According to Page Six, Tori and Candy dated Tori’s husband Dean McDermott, Million Dollar Listing star Josh Flagg and his boyfriend Andrew Beyer, and Tori’s 5-year-old son Beau. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves while Tori and Candy chatted and laughed. Following the recent death of her colleague, Messyness co-host Teddy Ray and 90210 co-star Joe E. Tata reminded Tori that life is short. “So keep your loved ones as close as possible,” she advised her followers on Instagram. It’s nice to see Tori and Candy back in a great place!
