The tragic loss that changed Chloe Cherry’s life

One of the show’s breakout stars, Chloe Cherry, has spoken at length about her career before joining the hit show, which included a stint as an adult film star. Cherry appeared on the Call Her Daddy podcast in March and spoke candidly about her experiences in the porn industry.

“It all started when this agent I had when I was a porn star told me I was fat,” Cherry recounted. “He said, ‘Everyone says you’re fat and the quickest way to lose weight is to not eat.’ He said that to me and I was like, ‘What the heck.'” The actor went on to explain that she began to develop an eating disorder after the incident. Chloe Cherry wouldn’t have done porn if her father were still alive

Chloe Cherry made a shocking statement about her involvement in the porn industry, which she said wouldn’t have happened if her father hadn’t died when she was a kid. “I always thought if my dad was alive, I’d just be normal,” Cherry said. “I would have just gone to college like a normal damn person and just done some stupid job and just been a stupid normal person. I wouldn’t do any of this if my father were still here. I wouldn’t be Chloe Cherry if my dad were still around.” Cherry went on to explain that her father was diagnosed with cancer when she was 7 and his health slowly deteriorated over the course of a year. The actress recalled, that she – along with her brother – was put into therapy, but the treatment was unsuccessful.

Despite her revelation, Cherry doesn’t shy away from her past. According to iD, videos by Cherry, who has an active OnlyFans account, have garnered almost 120 million views on PornHub.

Chloe Cherry was still a grown star when she landed the Euphoria role

The actor was still appearing in adult films prior to the premiere of Euphoria’s second season, in which Chloe Cherry took on the role of Faye. “I didn’t think it was real at first. It was 2019 and someone texted me and said, ‘Hey, it’s Euphoria. We really want you to audition for that role in season two,'” Cherry recalled, per Grazia. Cherry went on to explain that when she finally met the show’s writer, Sam Levinson, he revealed he was a fan of her Instagram stories.

Despite her seemingly smooth transition from adult movie star to a recurring role on an Emmy-winning HBO series, Cherry’s career has been plagued by a nasty rumor. In an interview with Paper, the former porn star claims she only landed the role in Euphoria after Levinson saw her play Rue in a Euphoria parody. “I just don’t like it when someone hates them,” she told the publication. “He is super professional and helped me a lot. All of my interactions with him have been just lovely.”
