Despite its relatively recent premiere in 2019, Selling Sunset has quickly grown into a full-fledged reality empire. After the lives and relationships of luxury real estate agents at the Oppenheim Group in Los Angeles, the original episode of the Netflix franchise has already had an impressive five seasons under its belt, and more are to come: the sixth and seventh seasons have been greenlit, with production beginning this summer, per kind. A spin-off, Selling Tampa, premiered in late 2021, and another, Selling the OC, is on the way, with the hype showing no signs of slowing down.
The last time we saw the “Selling Sunset” ladies was the show’s first reunion, which was hosted by Tan France at the end of season five. While it was meant to be full of drama, the absence of breakout star and show villain Christine Quinn left a lot to be desired. Though Quinn claimed to skip the reunion due to testing positive for COVID-19, her co-star Chrishell Stause accused her of playing hooky to avoid the hot seat for some of her behaviors. Quinn previously claimed to have “Selling Sunset” on his back and said, “If you have a good recommendation for a chiropractor, please let me know” (via E! News).
Luckily for Quinn, she won’t be the show’s only lightning rod anymore. Netflix is adding two new cast members for Season 6 of Selling Sunset, and at least one of them is sure to kickstart the drama.
Bre Tiesi and Nicole Young join Selling Sunset
It’s official: Bre Tiesi and Nicole Young have joined the “Selling Sunset” cast. Bre Tiesi is best known for being the mother of Nick Cannon’s youngest son Legendary Love who was born on June 28th. She’s not just a mom though: Her Instagram bio reads ‘Real Estate Agent. Investor. business consultant”. Given Tiesi’s diverse abilities, she seems to fit right into the Oppenheim Group’s girl boss environment.
Of joining Selling Sunset as a new mom, Tiesi told People, “I think it’s going to be really helpful when other women are going through or about to go through the same thing, so I think that’s going to be a great little bonding thing for us.” Tiesi previously teased the casting announcement on Instagram, writing, “I can’t wait to share my pregnancy vlog with you guys and I have a few more big surprises to announce next week.” She has yet to reveal if Cannon will be present at the shooting.
As for Young, she has been with the Oppenheim Group for a decade and was originally scheduled to star in the first season of Selling Sunset before retiring. In the official announcement to People, she said, “I just wasn’t ready to reveal my whole life and even more so my clients and my business — which I’m very protective of — to the whole world.” Between Tiesi’s Cannon connection and Young’s existing relationship with the cast should season 6 be two for two with its reality rookies!
