If there’s one thing in life that we probably don’t need to tell you, it’s that Leonardo DiCaprio is pretty popular with the ladies — and the boys, too, by the way. DiCaprio has dated pretty much every model in the world (well, not quite, but he’s certainly dated his fair share) with his dating history made up of the likes of Gisele Bundchen, Demi Moore, Naomi Campbell, and Blake Lively, per Who’s Dated Who. DiCaprio is known for hanging out at all the big parties in Hollywood, where the most stunning models are known, so much so that in 2015, Cosmopolitan actually spoke to nine Sports Illustrated models about their interactions with him, including Gigi Hadid and Lily Aldridge.
The outlet also chatted to Chrissy Teigen, who joked that she was actually offended at being one of what we’re guessing is just a handful of models who’ve never met. “I’ve never seen him go out. Everyone talks about him and models, and the thing is, in this industry, they’re the ones you hang out with the most,” she said, admitting that she and husband John Legend would joke all the time about who models would date . “You kind of dated your co-workers, and in a way we were co-workers… Good for them all. Good for the girls, good for Leo,” she added.
With all of these dates being so notorious, it was only a matter of time before DiCaprio’s love of women went viral. Come forward, Lauren Sanchez.
Lauren Sanchez looked mesmerized by Leonardo DiCaprio
With Leonardo DiCaprio’s dating reputation predating it, the internet lost it when the infamous womanizer was spotted chatting to none other than Jeff Bezos’ girlfriend Lauren Sanchez. In November 2021, the world couldn’t get enough of the actor’s brief chat with Sanchez at the LACMA Art + Film Gala as he seemingly mesmerized her. The clip captured by diversity but went viral via by Sports bar stoolshowed Sanchez flashing the actor a big smile, getting quite close and looking up at him — while Bezos looked on.
Many echoed the apparent affection (hey, who could blame her?) and joked about the moment on social media. “Find someone who looks at you the same way Jeff Bezos’ girlfriend looks at Leo,” one person quipped Twitterwhile another speculated“Sanchez was looking at Leo like he took me, look how she’s craning her neck and looking like maybe she had her chest pressed on him? poor [Bezos] moves the chair to keep up with Sanchez. all the money [Bezos] Sanchez didn’t mean anything when Leo was around!”
Of course, nothing actually happened between the two and thankfully, Bezos saw the funny side. The businessman accepted Twitter to share a hilarious response to the viral moment; a photo of himself leaning against a sign warning of a fatal fall, with the caption: “Leo come here I have something I want to show you…”
All was not as it seemed between Leonardo DiCaprio and Lauren Sanchez
While it seemed like Lauren Sanchez morphed into the heart-eye emoji for Leonardo DiCaprio, what we saw in the viral clip didn’t really tell the whole story. It turns out the group had been close friends for a time prior to their LACMA Art + Film Gala interaction, according to a Page Six source, and it was actually the actor who personally invited the couple to the event. Not only that, Bezos and Sanchez even took a vacation with DiCaprio and his girlfriend Camila Morrone just before attending the gala. So there we have it. It’s all platonic here, guys.
Of course, this is far from the first time DiCaprio has gone viral on the internet. The man is pretty much a meme machine, with some of the most widely used images on the internet being of the star’s roles. There’s the meme of him laughing with a glass in his hand in the 2012 film Django Unchained, then there’s the meme of him pointing at the TV in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood . And how could we forget the polite meme/gif of him raising a glass in The Great Gatsby?
Oh Leo, when it comes to going viral, never change.
