Just when you thought the drama surrounding Scheana Shay and Brock Davies’ wedding was over, recent revelations suggest otherwise.
In case you missed it, Scheana and Davies tied the knot on Aug. 23 in Cancun, Mexico, in front of their “Vanderpump Rules” co-stars and closest friends and family. Per People, Scheana opted to be more relaxed at the celebrations than she was at her first wedding to ex-husband Mike Shay. Still, it had some nice touches. “They had everything I wanted: the glass deck over the pool, a lazy river, a little water park,” she told the outlet. “It was family friendly and just felt right. We needed something that would do her good and be fun for our guests.”
A number of controversies arose in the run-up to the wedding, including Scheana’s engagement ring. Fans criticized that Davies probably paid too much for her morganite ring, but Scheana defended it, saying she never wanted a diamond anyway. Lisa Vanderpump also skipped the celebrations, but she made sure Scheana threw a pre-wedding party on the Hollywood Hills.
But when Scheana and Davies exchanged “I Dos,” it turned out someone else was unexpectedly absent.
Katie Maloney was ‘disinvited’ to Scheana Shay’s wedding.
A couple of co-stars from Scheana Shay and Brock Davies’ “Vanderpump Rules” were in attendance at their wedding, including Ariana Madix and Raquel Leviss, who were also part of Shay’s bridal shower, along with Tom Sandoval and Tom Schwartz, who both attended Davies ‘ Groomsmen, per People. Fans who followed the celebrations also know that Katie Maloney was in Cancun for a girls’ day out with VPR grad Kristina Kelly, but she was conspicuously absent from the wedding as she apparently wasn’t invited anymore.
“She got uninvited and still rocked out for a ‘girls outing,'” Davies wrote on Instagram in response to a fan noting that Maloney was actually absent from the wedding. Maloney reportedly caught her ex Tom Schwartz kissing Leviss before the ceremony, causing a scene. “Katie walked away and cameras rolled over the whole thing. She yelled at them and they yelled back,” a source told HollywoodLife. Meanwhile, Maloney didn’t seem bothered by either the speculation or Davies’ remarks, as she simply posted a casual comment on Instagram. “I enjoy all the untruths,” she wrote.
Shay, on the other hand, hasn’t responded to all of the drama that’s unfolding outside of the celebrations and is just glad they got to spend time with the people they love. “All we need is to be able to have our amazing family and friends here and just enjoy being with each other in the moment,” she said.
