The country star you forgot appeared on Southern Charm

Hello everyone! Remember the time a huge country star appeared on Bravo’s Southern Charm? No? Well, that’s fine. We’ll forgive you the constant and oh-so-distracting drama that constantly plagues the popular reality show. Of course, some of the biggest drama on Southern Charm stems from those very rocky romantic relationships (of course!) with what is and isn’t together, often leaving even the most alert viewer scratching their heads.

Madison LeCroy and Austen Kroll made us guess whether they were on or off for years before finally calling it quits for good – and now another breakup has viewers rocked. After two years together, Taylor Ann Green confirmed that she and Shep Rose had broken up, telling Andy Cohen in no uncertain terms on “Watch What Happens Live” on Aug. 11, “We’re not dating.” She also speculated that Rose was her during may not have been 100% faithful to their romance after a source told People in July that he was hesitant about getting married.

But when we’re not trying to catch all the relationship drama on The Bravo Show, we’re keeping an eye out for famous faces. Of course, the cast themselves have become quite famous, but we’d like to throw it back to the days when a real country star stopped by to say hello and tried to snag a date.

Kelsea Ballerini’s southern charm cameo

No, it’s not “Peter Pan”. It’s Kelsea Ballerini! The country music superstar appeared on Season 2 of Southern Charm under circumstances that it sounds like she’d probably rather forget. That appearance went down as part of the 2015 episode “Dysfunction Junction,” in which Craig Conover and Shep Rose attempted to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project by auctioning off dates with them. Event attendees then bid on the opportunity to perform with the reality stars… So step forward, Kelsea Ballerini! Ballerini offered a whopping $5,001 for a date with Conover, according to The State, but they never became a hot item. In fact, they didn’t date at all. The “Roses” singer told the New York Post the date was a prize at a radio station after she gave it away, and admitted she bid on a night out with Conover mainly because her publicist thought it was a good idea. “It was a spontaneous thing,” she shared.

Fans clearly loved seeing the star appear on the show back then, as well as in the many reruns of the episode that have aired since. “@KelseaBallerini on southern charm. “The boys are so right when they say Kelsea is a total baby,” one person tweeted after the first broadcast, while another tweeted When the episode re-aired six years later, “odd to see Kelsea Ballerini as an up-and-coming country artist at this point on the show.”

Did anything happen between Kelsea Ballerini and Craig Conover?

Sorry, reality TV romance fans! There wasn’t a great love story between Kelsea Ballerini and Craig Conover that we missed. While there’s no doubt that if these two had ever actually gone on a date, we’d have loved to have been a fly on the wall, it sounds like not only have they never spent a night together, they probably never have had much had interaction. Today, Ballerini is happily married to musician Morgan Evans, while Conover is in love with Paige DeSorbo, who you may know from another major Bravo reality series, Summer House.

As for what Conover had to say about it all, he actually admitted to Decider in 2017 that he would have preferred the country star bidding on a date with Shep Rose. The star explained that his relationship with Rose got a bit rocky after the Ballerini incident, and told the outlet that it’s quite uncomfortable that her “Southern Charm” co-star Cameran Eubanks feels like she needs around $1,000 bid so Rose’s feelings would. not get hurt. “I would have preferred that [Kelsea] I picked him because I knew he kind of needed that and since then when we’re filming I feel like he has to prove something or I don’t know, I think there’s some uncertainty there,” he said he.
