Teresa Giudice and Luis Ruelas’ wedding was one of the biggest reality TV moments of the summer. The big day, which was filmed for an upcoming Bravo special, was attended by several other housewives, including Dorinda Medley and Kenya Moore, per Us Weekly. However, there were two very important people who weren’t present at the wedding – Joe and Melissa Gorga. Joe, Giudice’s only brother, and Melissa, the ‘RHONJ’ star’s sister-in-law, decided to skip the wedding after their ongoing feud appeared to have peaked, according to People.
During an episode of the podcast Melissa Gorga On Display, Joe opened up about missing the wedding, saying, “For me, it was devastating. It really was. It was one of the hardest days of my life. It was bad.” (via People). He continued: “It was all her business. That’s what she really wanted.” Although the newlyweds had over 200 guests at their wedding, according to NBC’s Today, it was slightly controversial that none of Giudice’s relatives were present other than her daughters.
Ruelas and Joe seemed to hit it off on Season 12 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, despite Ruelas’ questionable past. Unfortunately, fans didn’t make things easy for Giudice’s now-husband, according to The US Sun. And now the reality star’s prenup decision is causing an undeniable uproar among Bravo fans and viewers.
Teresa Giudice made her marriage decision based on true love
During a panel at BravoCon 2022, Teresa Giudice spoke about her wedding and marriage to Louie Ruelas. And while they exuded an overwhelming amount of excitement about their big day and their new husband, fans weren’t as smitten with one important aspect surrounding Giudice and Ruelas tying the knot. When asked by a fan if she had taken Andy Cohen’s earlier advice and signed a prenuptial agreement, Giudice confirmed that she hadn’t, replying, “No. True love. True love, yes.” The reality star’s response elicited an audible shock from those in attendance.
During an episode of Watch What Happens Live in February, Giudice discussed her stance on signing a prenup. The RHONJ star explained, “I mean, I would [sign a prenup]do you know when [Luis] said it. I’m so easy with it.” She continued, “He definitely has more than me. I would never take anything from him, I’m like that not like that” (via People).
Of course, online fans had a lot to say about Giudice confirming she didn’t sign a prenuptial agreement. One social media user tweeted, “Teresa is stupid! She should have had a prenuptial agreement to protect her daughters and herself. True love goes out the window during an ugly divorce.” Another said, “I really wish Teresa the best but that was stupid. She needed a prenuptial agreement to protect not only herself but her girls as well.”
