If everything had gone according to plan, Shailene Woodley and Aaron Rodgers would probably already be married. Instead, after a whirlwind romance that began in July 2020, they were engaged in February 2021, and by February the following year they were done — for the first time.
“They certainly had their differences and ultimately their relationship didn’t work out,” a source told Us Weekly in February. “At first they thought they would be a good match, but the more they got to know each other, the more they recognized their careers, their interests [and] Their political views did not align.” Since they began dating, Rodgers has been embroiled in controversy for refusing to get the COVID-19 vaccine, according to CNN. documented interest in holistic health, it seems that perhaps some of Rodgers’ more radical political beliefs were too much for Woodley.
The split wasn’t exactly a clean one, as sources claimed that Woodley and Rodgers have been on and off throughout the spring. As of June, however, they’re officially over and Woodley is opening up about life without Rodgers.
Shailene Woodley is ready for a fresh start
Months after her split from Aaron Rodgers, Shailene Woodley opens up about her life after the relationship. “[T]In the month of June: If you put macro whack world events aside for a minute, you’ve nurtured this woman’s head and heart at the micro level,” she wrote in an Instagram caption. Woodley also explained that she had a hunch she was going to have a great June thanks to visiting with a tarot card reader. “[G]or I’m thankful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Woodley concluded.
Rodgers reportedly had a more difficult time than Woodley following their initial breakup in February. “Both had intense work schedules during the fall and were unable to focus on their relationship,” a source told People. “Now when Aaron’s season is over he wants to try again. He thinks Shailene is very special. She’s more hesitant though.” Eventually, the pair were spotted in Los Angeles and at a mutual friend’s wedding — though they soon split. This time because Woodley just didn’t think Rodgers had his heart in it. “Shailene felt like everything was on Aaron’s terms and it wasn’t making her happy,” another source told the outlet in February.
These days, Rodgers seems to be doing well too. As of June, Rodgers has been linked to a podcaster named Blu, according to the New York Post. Blu and Rodgers seem to have a lot in common, including an interest in alternative medicine and spirituality.
