Pete Davidson’s appearance in the new Kardashians trailer is sure to get people talking

As “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” after 14 years on E! ended, fans knew it wouldn’t be the last reality mogul. In fact, the Kar Jenner clan announced a deal to launch a new docu-style series with Hulu, and the series — aptly titled The Kardashians — made its much-anticipated debut in April 2022.

In typical KarJenner fashion, Season 1 didn’t shy away from personal or difficult topics. From Kourtney Kardashian’s fertility journey with husband Travis Barker to Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson’s cheating saga to Kim Kardashian’s new relationship with Pete Davidson, nothing was off the table. “It’s not easy,” Khloé said on the TODAY Show, speaking about what it feels like to share private matters with the public. “But it’s also … at the same time a form of therapy for me and I like to see how the rest of my family reacts to things.”

Season 1 ended with the bombshell revelation of Thompson’s infidelity after it was revealed the NBA player had fathered a child with fitness instructor Maralee Nichols. Viewers grappling with the cliffhanger ending can rest assured that “The Kardashians” will be back for a second season — which Variety says was always part of the plan. Elle reported that Season 2 is due out in September and will likely cover topics like Kourtney and Barker’s lavish Italian wedding, the KarJenners’ trip to the Met Gala, and Kylie Jenner’s second child with Travis Scott. Plus, there’s another reason to be excited.

Will Pete Davidson Star in Season 2 of The Kardashians?

Travis Barker was a fixture on Season 1 of The Kardashians, but Kim Kardashian kept her boyfriend Pete Davidson under wraps. Whatever her reasons, the timing made sense as she was in the process of getting through a divorce from Kanye West. But that all changed when a new season 2 trailer was released that hinted at Davidson’s camera debut on the show.

In it, Kardashian can be heard asking her boyfriend if he wants to take a shower with her, and he immediately drops his phone and rushes over to her. The cameo marks the second time viewers have heard Davidson on air — the first time he joked about Kardashian’s anatomy in the season one finale, according to People.

The SKIMS founder had previously hesitated about filming with Davidson. “I’m not against it,” she told Variety. “It’s just not what he’s doing. But if there was an event and he was there, he wouldn’t tell the cameras to go away.” According to Page Six, those close to the “SNL” alum initially advised him against appearing on the show while a separate source denied this. “He doesn’t feel any pressure to be on the show,” the insider told the outlet. “Neither do the people around him. If it happens that he’s on the show, it happens.” If anything, fans can take Davidson’s performance as further confirmation that his relationship with Kardashian is strong.
