The marriage between Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne was the focus of her hit reality show The Osbournes in the early 2000s. Since then, the infamous couple has had difficult times, which they have publicly discussed. The couple briefly separated in May 2016 when Ozzy was caught cheating. Luckily for the Black Sabbath frontman, they reconciled a few months later. “I forgive. It’s going to take a long time to trust him … I just can’t think about my life without him,” Sharon said on a July 2016 episode of “The Talk,” per People.
Ozzy opened up about his infidelity over the next year and shared how happy he was that Sharon took him back. “It’s a rock ‘n’ roll thing – you rock and you roll. You take the good with the bad,” Ozzy told Rolling Stone in 2017. “When I was a crazy dude, I was lucky she didn’t go out.”
That brief breakup due to Ozzy’s reported cheating wasn’t nearly the first time the couple had a big blast. According to ‘The X Factor’ judge, the couple used to physically hit each other. “Our fights were legendary. We would hit each other,” Sharon told the Daily Mail in 2021. “It may have stopped 20 years ago, but we’ve had a good run,” she added after a biopic about the couple was announced. However, they also had their fair share of happy times, and a year later their well-documented relationship hit a new milestone.
Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne celebrate how their love has unfolded
Ozzy Osbourne uploaded a commemorative photo to Instagram on July 4th from his and Sharon Osbourne’s wedding anniversary. It was to celebrate the couple’s wedding anniversary, which was a special one as they had been married for four decades. “40 years ago today! Happy anniversary my love,” the rocker wrote in the caption for the photo, which was taken in 1982. In the snap, Sharon can be seen gazing fondly at her husband while holding a bouquet of flowers, while Ozzy matched his wife’s beautiful wedding dress with a white suit and garland around her neck.

The former “The Talk” presenter commemorated the special anniversary with her own Instagram post. Sharon uploaded a more recent snap of her and Ozzy as they both wore all-black ensembles while holding hands. In her heartfelt caption, Sharon discussed how their relationship had evolved. “We first met when I was 18, for 52 years we have been friends, lovers, husband and wife, grandparents and soul mates,” she wrote. “Always by each other’s side. I love you Ozzy.”
Sharon had discussed the development of the couple’s relationship over the past few years. “After so long and so much we’ve been through to keep this family together, you’re going to be a soul mate,” she told ET in 2020. The television personality mentioned how lovingly “codependent” and almost inseparable they were. “The thought of not being with him is just unthinkable,” she added.
