The upcoming resignation of the British Prime Minister is not the only dramatic event in England. The royal family has had a lot of arguments in recent years. According to Us Weekly, Prince William was reportedly blindsided and deeply hurt by Prince Harry’s decision to step down from royal duties and pursue a more normal life with his wife Meghan Markle, and it appears the royal brothers have yet to make amends.
“He’s vacillating between sadness for what he’s lost and really, really angry at what his brother did,” a friend of Prince William told the Daily Mail on June 18. “He really loves Harry and feels like he’s lost the only person besides his wife who understood their strange life. But he believes there are things you just don’t do. And Harry crossed that line 100 percent.”
Markle also had some allegations against her as she was suspected of bullying staff at Kensington Palace in 2021. However, the Queen wanted this inquiry to be private, per Express, as a source said: “The Queen feels there has been enough drama surrounding the Sussexes and she wants a line drawn.” It appears however, that the drama within the family has not abated no matter how hard they try to support each other.
Meghan Markle’s birthday message was dodgy
While it was nice for Prince William and Kate Middleton to wish Meghan Markle a happy birthday, there’s one thing about the news that might tell people they’re still in a feud. According to Page Six, the birthday message was posted to William and Kate’s Instagram Story, where, unlike a normal post, the message will be gone in 24 hours.
“Happy Birthday to the Duchess of Sussex!” said the message, which was also posted to Twitter. Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall posted the same line on theirs Twitterbut added a balloon emoji.
These birthday messages come about a week and a half after it was reported that Prince Harry felt the family “could be kinder” to Markle. “Members of her family, Harry said, did not show her enough support, respect and friendship,” author Tom Bower wrote in his book Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War between the Windsor (via Mirror). Whether or not the birthday messages were meant to be passive aggressive, we hope the family can work through their drama.
