NeNe Leakes fuels Andy Cohen lawsuit with new claims

If anyone knows what kind of drama firestorm former Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes can conjure up, it’s Andy Cohen. While Page Six reported that the legendary housewife was “in talks” to settle her discrimination lawsuit against Cohen, Bravo and NBCUniversal, Leakes has turned up the heat on social media.

According to the Associated Press, Leakes filed her lawsuit in April 2022, alleging that the production companies and executives created a toxic environment in which racism was allowed to thrive. According to the lawsuit, “NBC, Bravo and True foster a corporate and workplace culture in which racially insensitive and inappropriate behavior is tolerated — if not encouraged.”

Specifically, Leakes’ lawsuit alleges her former co-star Kim Zolciak-Biermann for years of making racist remarks that everyone from Bravo to Cohen himself let go. According to Leakes, Zolciak-Biermann made comments that perpetuated racial stereotypes and used a racial slur after an argument with cast members. The lawsuit also alleges that the production never addressed Leakes’ complaints and instead gave Zolciak-Biermann her own spinoff show. Meanwhile, Leakes claims her grievances about racism helped her get pushed off the show.

If the language in NeNe Leakes’ lawsuit against Andy Cohen and Bravo sounds harsh, the ex-“Real Housewife” is getting even tougher on social media.

NeNe Leakes accuses Andy Cohen of ‘abuse’

First, you may have noticed the news from Leakes Twitter bio dated Aug. 9, which reads (in capital letters): “Blacklisted for wanting to tell the truth and stop being abused” and promises “Receiptsss.” Leakes also doubled down on her claim that Bravo producer Andy Cohen blacklisted her. In a separate tweet As of August 10, she wrote, “You are stopping every job opportunity that comes my way.” In another tweet, Leakes even hinted that she has incriminating audio. “He kept me from work because I was a threat to his career! Still, he could abuse me for years,” she wrote. “I really want to publish these voice recordings.”

But Leakes has been tweeting about it for months. Back in early June, you wrote, “Isn’t it amazing how a network person can have a problem with you and every network doesn’t work with you? Let’s talk about it.” And again in July, her tweeted, “You act like you have a job opportunity and end up taking it back for me like you don’t see what they do.” And, juiciest of all, teased an upcoming memoir. “The book I’ve been writing for the past year is going to be a MUST READ! I can’t wait to share it,” she said tweeted.

Meanwhile, Cohen himself has not directly responded to Leakes’ allegations.

In the words of Leakes himself, “So nasty and so rude.”
