Missed star Paul Nassif reveals tragic loss

If there’s one thing we know about Paul Nassif, it’s that he’s a proud family man – and that makes his recent announcement downright devastating.

As one of the stars of “Botched” and former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” Nassif is no stranger to sharing his life with fans. But even when the cameras aren’t rolling, a quick look through his Instagram profile is enough to find your way around. And amid promotional posts about his recent surgeries, Nassif gives ample insight into his family life. Gushing posts about his twins shared with ex-wife Adrienne Maloof. Emotional caption wishing his and Maloof’s eldest son a happy birthday. Adorable posts about his youngest child and only daughter, baby Pauline, along with the proud hashtag “#girldad”. Oh, and did we mention the lovely message sent to his wife Brittany Pattakos on Valentine’s Day?

Nassif may be a world-renowned surgeon, but when it comes down to it, his family is the most important part of his life. Finally, in his birthday message to son Gavin — which happened to happen on Father’s Day this year — he shared, “Being a father is my most important responsibility.” In the same post, he also gave a shoutout to his own late father, thanking him for the impact he’s making had exercised on him. Given Nassif’s love for family, it’s understandable that a recent loss has shaken him to the core.

Paul Nassif describes the loss of his ‘superhero’

On July 7, Paul Nassif shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram that his brother Chris Nassif had passed away. According to the “Botched” star, his brothers’ deaths were “unexpected.” Though he didn’t offer any details on what happened, he wrote a tearful tribute instead.

“Today our world is obsessed with superheroes, but growing up… he was mine,” he said. He gushed about how he’d admired his older brother his whole life, adding one particularly devastating comment reminiscent of what he shared in their birthday and Father’s Day post together. “He helped raise me.” Paul also shared that Chris was his only brother — “and he was the best brother I could have asked for.”

Aside from Chris’ many professional accolades (Paul mentioned that his brother had represented Sofia Vergara and Ricky Martin as a talent agent), what shaped the surgeon the most was his commitment to family. “When push comes to shove, there is no one on this planet who will have your back like your big brother.” Chris is survived by his son, model Ryan Nassif.

We send our love and condolences to the extended Nassif family at this time.
