Everyone has made the same observation about Camila Morrone and Leonardo DiCaprio’s split. “Not trying to make an obvious joke but it’s incredibly incredibly weird that the man would be so allergic to dating someone over the age of 25,” tweeted author Sophia Benoit.
The “Mickey and the Bear” star and the actor, who fought a bear on “The Revenant,” called it quits after four years of dating, according to People. The Daily Mail pointed out that all of DiCaprio’s previous exes — including Gisele Bundchen, Bar Refaeli, Nina Agdal, and Blake Lively — were in their 20s when their relationship with the actor ended, and he’s never been in a serious relationship with her someone about it at the age of 25. Morrone celebrated her 25th birthday just weeks before their split, but a source told InTouch that it wasn’t a question of whether the model/actor hit the quarter-century mark. “When she focused on work and had her own priorities, he became distant,” the insider said.
The untimely split came months after comedian Amy Schumer made a joke about DiCaprio’s dating history during the Oscars. “I mean, Leonardo DiCaprio — what can I even say about him? He’s done so much to fight climate change and leave his friends a cleaner, greener planet,” she said of the “Don’t Look Up” actor, per Page Six. So if DiCaprio wants the jokes to stop, he might want to consider an older dating pool, and one expert has some intriguing ideas for potential matches.
Leonardo DiCaprio could find lasting love by stepping out of his comfort zone
Susan Trombetti, matchmaker and CEO of Exclusive Matchmaking, exclusively told Nicki Swift that Leonardo DiCaprio can still type when he starts looking for love again, but it’s time to make a change. “He needs to break his winning streak and date someone else with more longevity and staying power,” Trombetti said. “Most of his girlfriends probably don’t challenge him in any way and that’s what he needs.”
According to the Daily Mail, shortly after his split from Camila Morrone, DiCaprio was spotted partying with 22-year-old model Maria Beregova, but Trombetti thinks another woman with the same profession would be a better fit: newly single Inamorata founder Emily Ratajkowski. “Not only is she captivating, but she’s also an entrepreneur and an author,” Trombetti said.
Kendall Jenner falls into a similar category. “She’s smart and true to herself and brings something to the table,” Trombetti said. Then there’s one of Jenner’s former Victoria’s Secret Angels. “Gigi Hadid isn’t that far out of shape since she’s a model, but she’s a bit older and seems to have a sexy appeal about her,” the matchmaker noted. According to People, DiCaprio was spied on when Hadid and Jenner parted ways in 2019.
As far as non-models are concerned, Trombetti suggests that actress Emma Watson is working for the “opposites attract” theory and DiCaprio’s sidekick Rihanna could “keep his interest alive,” but unfortunately she spoke for her.
