Lisa Rinna once cast shadows on Lori Loughlin and Olivia Jade on RHOBH

The Real Housewives franchise offers plenty of backstabbing and backtalk. Would it be reality TV if not? For example, fans may remember Camille Grammer casting shadows on Lisa Rinna on Instagram in 2020, digging on Rinna’s dance moves.

Of course, Rinna isn’t above throwing a little shade herself. As ‘RHOBH’ co-star Sutton Stracke opened up about Erika Jayne’s dating difficulties – noting that Jayne was mostly looking for material goods, while she, Sutton, “had her own money, so I’m looking for character.” [and] Humor” – Rinna couldn’t resist getting involved. “Oh yeah that’s right, Sutton screwed her up to have the money she has. I think it takes a gold digger to know one,” Rinna commented in a post (via ET Canada).. “She’s rich honey she’s RICHHHHH!!!!!! Because of her ex-husband.”

Rinna has also eclipsed Lori Loughlin, who was once thought to be joining the “RHOBH” franchise as of 2020, per Today. Loughlin, her husband Mossimo Giannulli, and their two daughters made headlines for all the wrong reasons in 2019 thanks to the now infamous college admissions scandal. Per People, Loughlin and Mossimo paid con artist Rick Singer $500,000 to falsely label their daughters as crew recruits at the University of Southern California. When it all backfired, it presented Rinna with the perfect opportunity to attack Loughlin.

Lisa Rinna couldn’t resist poking fun at Lori Loughlin’s plight

Per Us Weekly, a May 6, 2020 episode of “RHOBH” showed Lisa Rinna chatting with her daughter, Amelia Gray Hamlin, about her college plans. “Tell me exactly what you did up to his point,” Rinna asked her daughter. Hamlin then responded that she “had all my math requirements to transfer to USC, but that’s so when I get in I don’t have to take another math class.” I’ll have my math credits for college.”

Maybe it was the mention of USC—the scene of the college admissions scandal—but Rinna couldn’t help but joke at Lori Loughlin’s expense. “Fine because I’m not going to put you on a rowing machine and take a picture of you,” the “RHOBH” star shot back. As The US Sun noted, pictures of Loughlin’s daughters Olivia Jade and Bella Giannulli on rowing machines went viral after the college admissions scandal was exposed.

Hamlin, however, was uninterested. The budding reality star, who made headlines later that same year for hooking up with Scott Disick, told her mother: “That was the wrong thing I said. I’m trying to get into USC here.” At the time, People reported that Hamlin had dropped out of NYU because of her anxiety and battle with eating disorders. Although she originally intended to join USC, her modeling career has since picked up steam, leading her to pursue fashion over education.

Brandi Glanville wasted no time in making a joke about Lori Loughlin

Lisa Rinna wasn’t the only “RHOBH” graduate to take the Lori Loughlin and Olivia Jade admissions scandal lightly. Perhaps because Loughlin was once poised to possibly join the show, was she on a lot of housewives’ minds? Anyway, Brandi Glanville was next in line to quell Loughlin’s plight the following year, in 2021. When Glanville’s son was accepted into college, the reality star took to Twitter and wrote (via Screen Rant), “Amazing news my baby got accepted into the University of Southern California and I didn’t even have to fake oar pictures or bribe anyone.” She later clarified that the admission was not for USC but for another California-based school.

Both Loughlin and Felicity Huffman were the target of “Real Housewives” jokes when a user on Instagram created fake intros for the two women – as if they were appearing on the show. The photos reproduced the signature “RHOBH” intros right down to the all-black outfits and diamond-encrusted backgrounds. According to the Daily Mail, Huffman’s intro read, “The only thing I’m desperate for is a top-notch education,” while Loughlin said, “My house is full, and so is my jail cell.” The latter slogan also references Loughlin’s appearance on ABC’s “Full.” house”.

The fake intros even caught the eye of longtime Bravo host Andy Cohen. Per Us Weekly, he commented “omg” on the post, which was captured by the Comments by Celebs Instagram account.
