In what has been a whirlwind year for the Kardashian women — at least relationship-wise — attention has finally turned to Kendall Jenner. Unlike her sisters, who have made storylines out of their various romantic involvements on their reality series (think Kravis’ passionate relationship), Jenner has long chosen to keep her relationship with NBA star Devin Booker off the show and off stay out of the headlines.
“Kylie and I have had a chance to watch our older sisters go through marriages and relationships and breakups and all of those things, and it’s been pretty public,” Jenner said during the 2021 Keeping Up with the Kardashians reunion, per Bustle. “No offense but I think it was a personal preference from a young age that I didn’t want [do that]’ she explained. Jenner claimed it made her relationship with Booker “a lot better.”
After two years together, Booker and Jenner split in June. Numerous outlets confirmed the split, but within days, the stars’ social media habits had fans wondering if they really were done for good.
Kendall and Devin move on
If Kendall Jenner and Devin Booker are truly broken up, it seems like there aren’t any hard feelings between them. Less than a week after splitting, the couple caused a stir by liking each other’s latest Instagram posts. Jenner posted a photo of herself sunbathing in her birthday suit, which Booker liked. Hours later, when Booker posted a photo of himself in a ballpark, Jenner also threw him a like on Page Six.
If you were a fan of Booker and Jenner’s relationship, as many were, the fact that you’re liking each other’s hot posts again might seem like an indication that a reconciliation is on the way. However, before you get too excited, there’s also a good chance Booker and Jenner will split amicably, and that’s why they’re supporting each other on social media. Speaking to Us Weekly when the news broke, a source close to the stars claimed that “Kourtney’s wedding really put things in perspective for Jenner,” prompting the couple to “take time out to bond.” to focus on yourself.”
The pressure to commit to each other more substantially reportedly worsened the relationship. “After two years, they had the ‘where to?’ talk,” a source told Page Six. “Even though they do care for each other, Devin didn’t want to propose and his career is his priority,” the source explained, noting that their hectic lifestyle made navigating a relationship difficult. “Kendall’s career also dominates her life.”
