Kelly Rizzo tries to stay positive in heartbreaking tribute to Bob Saget

There is no doubt that Bob Saget’s death affected people around the world, especially those who were close to him. The “Full House” star passed away unexpectedly in his hotel room at the Ritz Carlton in Orlando in January, and coroners later determined that Saget’s cause of death was head trauma.

When news of Saget’s death reached the media, tributes poured in. Former co-stars Candace Cameron Bure and John Stamos wrote touching tributes to America’s beloved TV dad. It took his wife Kelly Rizzo a few days to gather the strength to post on social media about the actor’s death, but on Jan. 15, she broke her silence and shared a sweet photo of herself and Saget as she received her put heads together. “My sweet husband… How lucky I was to be the one to be married to THE MOST INCREDIBLE MAN IN THE WORLD,” she gushed. She continued by sharing how much she and Saget loved each other and how determined she was to keep his legacy and life’s work alive.

Since his death, Rizzo has shared many other greetings with her late husband. Now Rizzo tries to see the glass half full rather than half empty.

Kelly Rizzo opts to see the silver lining

Gone but never forgotten. Since Bob Saget’s death, his friend and beloved wife, Kelly Rizzo, has made a conscious effort to keep his memory alive. On July 10, Rizzo took to Instagram to share a video montage of himself and Saget over the years. To make the tribute even more heartbreaking, it was set to Bruce Springsteen’s “Land of Hope and Dreams.”

Rizzo also wrote a lengthy caption as she reflected that it had already been six months since she lost her “best friend, my travel buddy, my loving husband.” Rizzo continued, “6 months without your silliness, your laugh, your music, your cuteness, your caring, your sharp wit, your thoughtfulness, your cuddle and your warmth.” She continued that although things were difficult, she looking for the silver lining and was overwhelmed by the outpouring of support as she got closer to Saget’s daughters. Blogger Eat Travel Rock ended the post by saying, “We miss you so much every day. I love you honey, the world still isn’t the same without you.”

Rizzo did her best to keep Saget’s memory alive. In June, she shared another touching Instagram post to promote Saget’s Netflix special Dirty Daddy: The Bob Saget Tribute. Several big names appeared in the special including Jim Carrey, John Stamos and of course Kelly Rizzo. In her caption, Rizzo expressed that while Saget’s death still didn’t “feel real,” it was important to “share this amazing man.”
