Julia Fox’s bold parenting advice gets toasted on TikTok

Ever since Julia Fox made headlines for her much-discussed but short-lived romance with Kanye “Ye” West, her life has never been the same. After a fan commented that Fox might want to extend her 15 minutes of fame with Ye, she replied that it was the rapper who wanted their relationship to garner as much attention as possible to Page Six. Fox even teased that she had a lot more to say, in a now-deleted comment, which read, “Anyway if you want the full tea you’ll have to buy the book when it comes out.”

Well, there’s no word on when that book will be out, but Fox has been pretty busy, posing for photographers during her pantsless trips to the grocery store and attending numerous red carpet events. Fox obviously wants to make headlines with her fashion choice. Well, now it seems Fox is also making headlines for something else entirely: her parenting advice. Or at least the parenting advice people are toasting them for.

Julia Fox’s not-so-conventional parenting advice

Among other things, Julia Fox is known for her Hollywood films and her work as a model. But if there’s one thing she’s not known for, it’s her parenting advice. Yet that’s exactly what she gave her fans in a bizarre TikTok, urging parents to buy kids’ cleaning tools instead of new toys. Fox has one child, Valentino, with her ex, Peter Artemiev, per People. Fox explained that before the 18th century, children were considered small adults, so she felt they should learn to behave like adults and pick up their own things. She said, “So I suggest that everyone buy their kid a mini mop and a mini broom and teach them those life skills from a very early age so that when they step into the real world, they don’t have to outsource everything.”

Of course, it didn’t take long for her TikTok followers to chime in on her comments. Some wrote that they would get their children to file their taxes. Another person wrote, “My baby carried his own bags home from the hospital after I was born.” But then again, given how Fox likes to go shopping in underwear, it might make sense why she thinks the roles should be swapped.
