I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma and started chemotherapy,” Fonda wrote in the long caption. “This is a highly treatable cancer. 80% of people survive, so I’m very lucky.” Fonda made sure to realize she’s fortunate to have access to “quality health care,” which many others in the country aren’t fortunate enough to tell her to have. The star also took the opportunity to raise awareness for another cause. “People need to know that fossil fuels cause cancer. This also applies to pesticides, many of which are fossil fuel based like mine,” she wrote.
