And the Bennifer fairy tale continues! Lovebirds Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck married their second time on Aug. 20 in a lavish ceremony at the “Daredevil” actor’s home in Georgia, reports Page Six. The ceremony comes just a month after Lopez and Affleck tied the knot in Las Vegas. But while the actors’ first wedding was a simple affair, they’re going all out for their second ceremony.
According to the Daily Mail, Affleck and Lopez kicked off their wedding reception on Friday, August 19, with a rehearsal dinner attended by their family and friends. Then came the beautiful Saturday ceremony that a source said was meant to make Lopez shine. “It’s going to be all about J.Lo,” a source told Page Six. “Ben wants all the focus on her big day to be on her.” Case in point is her choice of dress — a beautiful Ralph Lauren dress with a dramatic 20-foot veil, per Harper’s Bazaar.
Affleck, on the other hand, opted for a similar look to her Las Vegas wedding in July — a white tuxedo jacket, black pants, and a matching black bow tie. TMZ also reports that the lovebirds will wrap up their three-day love celebration on Sunday with a picnic and barbecue hangout. And although the weekend was scheduled with fireworks and live music, the guest list consisted of the couple’s closest and dearest.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s wedding weekend was a star-studded affair
What would a wedding weekend be without family and friends? With Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s status as A-list stars, the ceremony was sure to be graced by Hollywood’s finest. According to Page Six, Affleck’s longtime boyfriend Matt Damon arrived in Georgia on Friday along with his wife Luciana Barroso. Lopez’s close friend Loren Ridinger and her daughter were also reportedly seen arriving in Georgia. According to Entertainment Tongiht, the wedding was celebrated by podcast host and author Jay Shetty, who arrived in Georgia with his wife Radhi Devlukia. “They appeared to be in good, excited spirits ahead of tonight’s celebration,” a source told the couple’s outlet.
The guest list included director Kevin Smith and his wife Jennifer, Affleck’s agent Patrick Whitesell and his wife Pia Miller. As well as her famous friends, the couple’s big day was graced by their family, including the couple’s five children – Lopez’s twins, Max and Emme, and Affleck’s three children, Violet, Seraphina and Samuel.
Affleck’s mother, Christopher Anne Boldt, also made it to Georgia for the event. Hours before the wedding, the Daily Mail reported that Boldt suffered an injury, with a source later telling the outlet it wasn’t “serious.”
