How many #1 singles did Ariana Grande have on the Billboard Hot 100?

From her role as the adorable Cat Valentine on Nickelodeon’s Victorious to her own Netflix documentary accompanying her on her Sweetener tour, pop star Ariana Grande has wowed the world with her high belts and diva-like legs. Grande began her career at age 8, per Broadway World, and she appeared in the Broadway musical “13.” Although people always think of her as Cat Valentine, she broke through the music industry with her first single with the late rapper Mac Miller called “The Way.”

“Since ‘The Way’ came out, a lot has happened, a lot has changed,” Grande told Elle in 2013, ahead of her debut album’s release. “I’ve been followed by people with cameras, which is crazy to me. I don’t really get it; i will never do it But it’s okay. I’m fine with the music thing and that makes me happy.”

After the release of her debut album, the pop star’s popularity skyrocketed. Throughout her career, she has gained recognition for her catchy tunes and impressions as she learns to style her own riffs from the likes of Celine Dion. She’s even worked with Mariah Carey and Jennifer Hudson, and she’s released six studio albums and climbed her way through the Billboard charts to #1. 1.

Ariana Grande dominates the Billboard charts

According to Billboard, Ariana Grande has six #1 hits on their Top 100 charts. Two of the songs – “7 Rings” and “Thank U, Next” – remained no. 1 for many weeks, the former for eight weeks and the latter for seven weeks. Although “7 Rings” elicited mixed feelings due to claims of cultural appropriation, Rodgers’ hip-hop spin and Hammerstein’s “My Favorite Things” helped it rise above the controversy.

“The genius of Rodgers and Hammerstein is that their songs become part of the audience’s DNA,” actor Nicholas Hammond, who portrayed Friedrich von Trapp in The Sound of Music with Julie Andrews, told Variety in 2019. “Ariana assumes her audience is familiar with the original and transposes her own hip-hop version onto it. To me, the contrast between the sweetness and simplicity of the original and the consumerism of their version is a commentary on today’s world.”

Her other #1 songs were “Positions”, “Save Your Tears” with The Weeknd, “Rain On Me” with Lady Gaga and “Stuck With U” with Justin Bieber. Not only is Grande hot on the Billboard charts, but it’s also hugely popular on other streaming platforms. Spotify ranks her as the #17 most popular artist in the world. She has approximately 52,121,326 monthly listeners with listeners around the world. Aside from being famous all over the world, the 29-year-old pop star has already achieved many milestones in her career.

Ariana Grande sets the Beatles’ records

After her album Thank U, Next was released, her songs took No. 1, nr. 2 and #3 spots on the Billboard charts. This “milestone” of taking the top three spots on the charts was last achieved by the Beatles. “I think it’s so funny,” Grande told late-night talk show host James Corden in 2019 when asked how she felt about the accomplishment. “When I woke up I thought it was an edit by my fans…I thought it was a joke. It’s really wild.” She drove around with her mother and listened to The Beatles to celebrate.

According to Guinness World Records, Grande achieved her 20th world record in 2021 by having “the most songs to debut at number one on the Billboard Hot 100.” This performance puts her in the same ranks as Mariah Carey, Rihanna and the Beatles. Other websites track Grande’s #1 songs around the world, so the pop sensation is dominating the world as well. According to Official Charts, which is headquartered in the UK, the singer has seven UK No.1 songs

We really hope that Grande can continue to release bops and bangers as her popularity continues to rise in her career.
