In July, Emily Ratajkowski and Sebastian Bear-McClard shocked pop culture enthusiasts when they quit. The two, who have a son together named Sylvester, were married for four years prior to their split announcement. At the time, a source revealed to People that the divorce decision came from Ratajkowski. “She is fine. She is strong and focused on her son. She loves being a mom,” the source added. While the two declined to comment, Page Six reported that cheating on Bear-McClard led to the end of their relationship. “Yes, he cheated. He’s a serial cheater. It’s gross. He’s a dog,” the source told the news outlet.
Since that fateful day, Ratajkowski has seemingly taken steps to move on and start a new chapter in her life. In early September, the “iCarly” actress moved out of their home together (per Us Weekly). “She rented an apartment downtown to get away from her ex and start her new life,” a source reveals. “They only talk to each other about the nanny.”
Aside from her new home, the popular model has also started speaking out about her past relationship and dating life via social media.
Emily Ratajkowski is considering dating again
After staying relatively silent regarding her divorce from Sebastian Bear-McClard, Emily Ratajkowski finally opened up about the future of her love life in a social media post. Taking to TikTok, the beloved model revealed that she mused on “dating and such” while discussing the ill effects of patriarchy. “Under a patriarchy, there’s this premise that men get women, like ‘getting them’ [or] ‘They pull,'” she explained. “What I’ve really seen in my friends and the conversations around them as a recently single person who’s thinking about dating and stuff like that.”
While her statement marked the first time she actively described herself as “single” with an interest in dating, Ratajkowski has spoken out about her relationship status in other videos on her TikTok account. Back in August, she uploaded a video with the caption, “The only man I want in my bed is this 90-pound boy,” before swerving to her dog. The “Gone Girl” star also raised eyebrows when she posted a duet in which another TikTok user described an “ugly” partner. “If he thinks he’s a 10 for pulling you but you’re into ugly men,” the user said. In a follow-up comment, Ratajkowski wrote, “For legal reasons this is a joke.” Only time will tell when the “iCarly” actress returns to the dating field.
