BravoCon 2022: The RHOA ladies get super awkward when asked about NeNe leaks

It’s been a hot minute since NeNe Leakes left The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but it doesn’t look like she’s on good terms with her former co-stars.

In September 2020, Leakes shocked everyone when she announced she wasn’t returning to the reality show. “I was in an extremely, extremely long, exhausting, tiring, emotional negotiation,” Leakes said in a YouTube video. “A lot of emotions flowed from both sides. It was tough and I made the very hard and difficult decision not to be a part of ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ season 13.” A month later, she also revealed to Entertainment Tonight that while she had received an offer, she had didn’t feel “fair” at all, leading her to make the decision to leave for good. “I wish them well, really, I do. But I don’t think that’s the right place for me.”

In April 2022, Leakes filed a lawsuit against Bravo CEO Andy Cohen and the network for tolerating a hostile and racist work environment. “NBC, Bravo and True foster a corporate and workplace culture where racially insensitive and inappropriate behavior is tolerated — if not encouraged,” the filing claimed, according to The Hollywood Reporter. But she later dropped the lawsuit without clarifying why.

Now it looks like there’s still tension between her and the rest of the cast, as evidenced by her responses at BravoCon 2022.

Things got awkward when a fan brought up NeNe

The cast of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” certainly didn’t appreciate it, as one fan pointed out to NeNe Leakes at BravoCon 2022. According to a reporter from The List who was present at the event, when asked about Leakes’ feud with Bravo, no one would answer, making the overall situation incredibly awkward.

But finally, Kandi Burruss – who had a feud with Leakes – reluctantly said: “We hate that it turned out this way. We got love for her.” It’s worth noting that in June 2022, Burruss told Entertainment Tonight that she wasn’t on good terms with Leakes. “We don’t talk. We don’t have a good relationship in that sense,” Burruss revealed. “I don’t know what the future would bring, but at the moment we don’t have a good relationship, so we don’t communicate.”

Elsewhere in the panel at BravoCon 2022, the cast of “RHOA” addressed Leakes’ son’s health concerns. Marlo Hampton said, “Brent is fine, and she’s fine, too,” and Sheree Whitfield echoed, “We all have this mutual love for one another.” This is a far cry from what Leakes said in June, revealing that she has no contact with any of the performers. “I haven’t heard from anyone,” she shared with Entertainment Tonight. “But I have a really good support system around me, so I’m doing really well.”
