BravoCon 2022: Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz are open about their divorce

In 2010, ‘Vanderpump Rules’ stars Katie Maloney and Tom Schwartz started dating, People notes. In 2016, they tied the knot on Season 5 of the show, and none other than Lisa Vanderpump officiated at their wedding. However, the couple eventually found that they had not completed the required paperwork. In 2019, they had another wedding in Las Vegas.

Then — as many of us now know — Maloney and Schwartz announced their split on social media in March 2022. Expressing his heartbreak, Schwartz took to Instagram, saying, “Fully respect Katie’s decision and we’ve had healthy, productive conversations about it. It would be a lot sadder if she decided to stay with me even though she’s not happy.” Maloney also took to Instagram to share her thoughts, writing, “This ending will not be met with resentment or hostility, there is no sides to choose from. We have a deep admiration for each other that will always remain, and we cherish our friendship.”

According to People, Maloney attributed their divorce to “irreconcilable differences.” An insider told the outlet that they’ve lacked “intimacy” in their relationship for quite some time. On Oct. 12, Maloney and Schwartz finalized their divorce, according to another Us Weekly report. Now the couple is making it clear at BravoCon 2022 what their separation is all about.

Tom and Katie expressed their feelings after the divorce
