Reality stars Joe Gorga and his sister Teresa Giudice have been in an ongoing feud for years, as fans of The Real Housewives of New Jersey know all too well. But Joe told Page Six at BravoCon 2022 that he wants to put the sibling drama behind him. He told the outlet: “At this point I just don’t know what else to say. I am tired. I’m tired of talking about it for 13 years.” He continued, “This kind of drama is ruining my life.”
Things got heated between the celebrity siblings when Joe and his wife Melissa Gorga didn’t attend Giudice’s wedding in August. Joe and Melissa are reportedly out due to an argument that broke out during filming of the season 13 finale. A source told People: “Teresa cheated on her in an unforgivable way. You won’t celebrate Teresa’s new marriage if she’s just trying to tear up theirs.”
Rumors that Melissa cheated on Joe — which she has denied — put the siblings further apart, according to Us Weekly. A source said: “One of the secrets was that Melissa was making out with this guy while she was in town on a press tour. This ‘rumor’ was something Teresa had known about for over a year and had been pushing for it to come out.” Family tensions have flared up recently. Despite what he told Page Six at BravoCon 2022, Joe gave his sister a subtle dig, revealing how long he thinks their marriage will last.
Joe Gorga has more confidence in his stand-up comedy career
So how much confidence does Joe Gorga actually have in Teresa Giudice’s new marriage? During a game of Truth or Drink, Andy Cohen asked Melissa Gorga, “Which do you think will take longer: Joe’s stand-up career or Luis and Teresa’s marriage?” according to a reporter from The List. Melissa dodged the question and took a sip. On the other hand, Joe didn’t hold back, declaring, “My stand-up career, baby!” According to Bravo’s The Daily Dish, he had his first stand-up comedy show in February 2020.
This wasn’t the only time Joe alluded to drama with his sister. During a “Real Housewives of New Jersey” panel, a fan asked why Joe and Melissa joined the series when there was an ongoing conflict between him and his family, per Page Six. “Was fame more important than family?” asked the listener. Melissa explained that her decision to join the show “was never behind her [Teresa’s] Back.” The question clearly provoked a strong reaction in Joe, who then jumped to defend her decision. In an impassioned speech, he said: “I’m tired of hearing that bull****. Because you know what? When you love each other, right? And we’re a family, you help each other rise.”
