Former Real Housewives of Orange County star Braunwyn Windham-Burke opens up after her reported split from girlfriend Victoria Brito. We first met Windham-Burke on the Bravo series as a down-to-earth mother of seven who wasn’t afraid to speak her mind. After proudly coming out as gay on the show in 2020, Windham-Burke left the reality franchise because she felt unsupported in her sobriety by her fellow cast members. A year later, she confirmed that she was dating Brito, an East Coast model.
For nine months, the two mostly had a long-distance relationship, since the housewife from Orange County lives with her family on the west coast. A source close to the couple told TMZ on July 8 that Windham-Burke and Brito had split because they were both just too busy at work to maintain their relationship.
Breakups are always hard and Windham-Burke is letting us know how she’s doing now.
Braunwyn is heartbroken, but optimistic
Braunwyn Windham-Burke is understandably heartbroken after the end of her nine-month relationship with Victoria Brito. On July 7, Windham-Burke took to her Instagram story to provide an update on how she’s adjusted after the breakup. “Me and Vic’s split, it’s hard. I’m not going to lie,” she admitted (via Just Jared). “It was like my first long-term female relationship that really blew my mind … It’s going to take me some time to get over it.”
Luckily, Windham-Burke confirmed that she was with her kids and mother, and she was grateful to have that support system. “I got loads of DMs so thank you so much. But what won’t we do? We won’t drink. We’re going to train, we’re going to do fun things.”
Just as we expected, the former Orange County housewife has continued to see the bright side of things. “I’m excited to be single and to double down on my work in the LGBTQ+ and sobriety communities,” she revealed to E! News. Instead of wallowing in her heartbreak, Windham-Burke really focuses on what’s important to her.
