Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez didn’t take long to find their newlywed digs

Ever since Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez wed in July, eyes have been on what digs the power couple will call home. Affleck is based in Brentwood, California, where his three children live and go to school with ex-wife Jennifer Garner, according to Page Six, while J.Lo was in Miami, Fla., where her two children live with ex-husband Marc Anthony.

Hoping to forge a new future with their now-larger blended family, the newlyweds have been spotted house-hunting in areas like Los Angeles’ Holmby Hills, according to Us Weekly. According to an exclusive source, there are some specific “A-list requirements” they hope their future home will meet. In addition to indoor amenities like a beauty salon and spa, Lopez reportedly wants the property to stretch “at least 20,000 square feet,” complete with a pool and guest house. For her own walk-in closet, she says she needs one that’s at least 2,000 square feet. Lopez “likes big houses,” the source told Us Weekly, and wanted enough space for extended family visits.

With that in mind, Bennifer may have just settled on a dream home with those specs after all.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez will stay with her

Rather than starting from scratch, TMZ reported that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck will be moving into their longtime Bel Air mansion. Sources close to the newlyweds told the outlet that the only catch was that the home, which she’s owned since 2016, first needs to be remodeled for more than a year. The extensive renovations, which already cover 14,000 square feet with seven bedrooms and 13 bathrooms, are believed to be done to meet the couple’s previous new home needs. (Eventually, Us Weekly reported that Lopez wanted the property 20,000 square feet, not 14!)

Sources have told TMZ that Lopez and Affleck have since rented billionaire James Packer’s $60 million Beverly Hills mansion, while Affleck has put his home in Pacific Palisades up for sale. “I just want my future to be filled with love and happiness, with my kids and my partner,” the singer previously told People. “I think everyone just wants to be happy, with someone to travel and grow old with, and I’m feeling good about it right now.”

As reported by Architectural Digest, Lopez has an experienced real estate portfolio with homes in Bel-Air, Miami and the Hamptons. Always enterprising and ready to give back, in 2018 she began co-funding Project Destined, a program that educates inner-city kids about the value of investing in real estate, according to CNBC. “It’s not just about owning your life, it’s not about owning property,” Lopez said.
