Taylor Swift is a popular woman, that’s for sure. The star basically coined the term #SquadGoals thanks to her impressive girl gang gaggle made up of many A-list faces (seriously, how could we forget this iconic time when Swift rocked the likes of Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez and Cara Delevingne gathered). the red carpet at the 2015 VMAs!?) However, the star was so keen to show off her close bond with her girlfriends that her constant display of their friendship left some people feeling a little left out, which the pop star felt in a 2019 essay, Elle apologized.
“In my twenties I was surrounded by girls who wanted to be my girlfriend,” she explained. “So I screamed it from the rooftops, posted pictures and celebrated my newfound acceptance in a sorority, not knowing that other people might still feel the way I did when I was feeling so alone,” she continued, adding adding that she wasn’t exactly friends anymore with everyone she once considered in her roster.
But what about a more recent addition to Swift’s inner circle, actress Sadie Sink? Are you still around?
Sadie Sink, Dylan O’Brien and Taylor Swift’s group chat
Sadie Sink became close to Taylor Swift thanks to a very special project, Swift’s “All Too Well” music video (no less than the epic 10-minute video directed by Swift!). Sink appeared in the play alongside Teen Wolf actor Dylan O’Brien, and it sounds like all three have remained close ties following their 2021 collaboration. So tight, in fact, they even have a group text (which, by the way, we’d love to include if you’re reading this T-Swift).
O’Brien told Entertainment Tonight in July that just days earlier he texted both ladies in the group while gushing about the ‘Bad Blood’ hitmaker. “[Taylor is] just so genuine… She really is just someone who is so dedicated and just plain proud of her work and so appreciative of any accomplishment or recognition for something she just got involved in. Talk about someone special,” he said. Cute!
But it’s not just O’Brien who’s had nothing but niceties. Sink shared how special she found working on the All Too Well video and admitted she wanted to work with Swift for years before her dream became a reality. “She’s such an incredible person, so smart and so grounded. To have her as a friend, as a director, as a mentor and to be able to bring such an iconic song to life was just an honor,” Sink Glamor said in June.
What Taylor Swift thinks of Sadie Sink
It sounds like all the raving isn’t one-sided either. Taylor Swift is clearly a fan of both Dylan O’Brien and Sadie Sink, and she proved it by sharing all of her success from the video with the duo. In fact, Swift even invited the two to Collider for the screening of her short film, All Too Well, at the Tribeca Film Festival in June. Really big praise!
And it seems like all that sweetness sink is certainly not lost. The ‘Stranger Things’ star revealed that ‘August’ is one of her favorite Swift songs while chatting with ‘Today’ in July, while admitting she initially thought she was pranking when she found out she would be in “All Too Well”. Video. “I guess [Swift] was a fan of [“Stranger Things”] and then I had in mind for the ‘All Too Well’ video, and she reached out and I said, ‘Of course I will,'” Sink shared, revealing that Swift called her personally to set her up “She’s such a down-to-earth, genuine person, so it’s really important to have someone to look up to,” she added.
One thing is for sure, this is an amicable love story that we just can’t get enough of!
