Angelina Jolie’s kids are helping her cope with the bittersweet family event

It’s no secret that Angelina Jolie has an incredibly close relationship with all six of her children. While the star is at the center of a protracted custody battle with ex Brad Pitt, she has remained committed to raising her children. Angelina and her team make red carpet appearances from time to time, including at the premiere of their film, Eternals.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, the actress explained how her kids are “comfortable” with the spotlight as it’s a big part of their lives, though it’s something they haven’t necessarily been into Select. “It’s a tiny piece of our lives. We’re just family, but this little slice of our lives where this is a moment,” she told the outlet of her red carpet excursions. “I’m glad they’re enjoying it and not taking it too seriously and are starting to explore themselves, including with their fashion.”

The star is also quick to point out how caring her kids are, especially when it comes to Mother’s Day. “My kids were always amazing on Mother’s Day,” she told Extra, adding that she loves that she doesn’t have to plan anything. “It’s just knowing that they’re doing something together and thinking about something together, and that they want it and that they think it’s important, always makes me cry,” she continued. Now, at an emotional time for the star, they’re appearing in a different meaningful way.

Angelina Jolie’s kids perform when Zahara goes to school

With her daughter Zahara Jolie-Pitt going to college, Angelina Jolie is having a hard time letting go. A source told Hollywood Life that the star helped Zahara settle into school in Atlanta before making her way back to her home base in Los Angeles, where she will live her new normal while Zahara studies at Spelman College. Angelina’s other children — Maddox, Pax, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox Jolie-Pitt — have served as a support system for their mother, who is going through a challenging transition.

“Sending Zahara to college has been difficult for Angelina, but luckily her kids have stepped up to make sure she doesn’t get too upset about it,” a source told the outlet. The insider added that although their children are in their teens, they are still “in tune” with Angelina and her needs. “They cooked dinner for her and stayed home at night to watch movies, they are all very attentive,” the person said. “Angelina says she feels like the luckiest mom with such amazing kids.” It seems like Angelina has the best support system she could ask for!
