Alyssa Farah Griffin won’t be The View’s only new permanent co-host

Finally, The View has finally found its conservative replacement for Meghan McCain. Actually, it has found two replacements. It was previously reported that Alyssa Farah Griffin, former communications director for former President Donald Trump, would take McCain’s place as token Republican on the panel. Now, Griffin doesn’t seem to be the only new co-host to earn a permanent spot on the daytime talk show.

Currently, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sarah Haines and Sunny Hostin are the permanent co-hosts of The View. The show always has at least one Republican or conservative-leaning co-host on its permanent roster. However, since McCain officially left the show in 2021, that spot has been filled by a rotating selection of guest presenters. Fans of the show have speculated for more than a year who ABC would hire to fill the full-time slot. But we didn’t think we’d get two newcomers instead of one.

Ana Navarro is now permanent co-host on The View

Alongside Alyssa Farah Griffin, frequent guest host Ana Navarro has been officially announced as the permanent co-host of The View. The show made the announcement on the air and tweeted“ANA BECOMES OFFICIAL VIEW CO-HOST: We are pleased to announce this [Ana Navarro] will join [The View] officially co-hosting as we gear up for Season 26!”

The tweet also included a clip of Whoopi Goldberg making the announcement on the show. “As much as we love that song ‘Be Our Guest,’ there is one person who is far beyond qualified to be called our guest,” Goldberg said. “She sat at the table for the first time in 2013. So today we’re proud to make another long overdue announcement that Ana Navarro will become the official co-host.” She then shared a video featuring various clips of Navarro’s guest appearances on the show over the years.

Goldberg too announced the addition of Griffin to the show – albeit with a little less enthusiasm. “We always want to honor Barbara Walter’s original version and vision that there are different views at this table,” she said. “So you’ve been watching as we’ve been looking for a new co-host all season, and I think it’s safe to say it’s ending now. It’s our pleasure to introduce you to our newest co-host.”
