All of Christina Hall’s tattoos explained

When it comes to tattoos, the possibilities are endless. They can be sentimental, funny or on the other hand just downright bad. In fact, Nicki Swift conducted a poll asking fans which celebrity has the worst tattoos — which musician Machine Gun Kelly brought the cake to.

But bad tattoos aside, ink is for everyone. Many fans know Christina Hall from her HGTV makeover show Flip or Flop, which also starred her now ex-husband Tarek El Moussa. Despite being on TV for years, viewers might be surprised to find out that Christina has multiple tattoos. However, it’s understandable why fans of the show might not have recognized the ink. For one, Christina’s tattoo placements can easily be covered up with clothing and the cameraman’s ability to shoot from a variety of angles. Secondly, the tattoos are not a large-scale ink that immediately draws someone’s attention.

Hall started tattooing after getting her first official inking job in 2017. In the years that followed, the Christina on the Coast star added new ink to the list — perhaps inspired by her husband Joshua Hall, who has tattoos running down his arms and legs. So what exactly are all of Christina’s tattoos and what do they actually mean?

What tattoos does Christina Hall have?

Christina Hall is not a celebrity who has an abundance of tattoos on her body, in fact the TV personality only has three. Many stars have also gotten tattoos in places that might be a little questionable, but Hall has gotten her tattoos in fairly common places on her body. People reports that the star started getting tattooed in 2017 when she had a list of Roman numerals tattooed on her arm. The tattooed numbers don’t seem to take up too much space as they take up just under half the length of her forearm.

Just a year later, Hall continued to get inked as she wore the phrase “Still I Rise” in a cursive script around her neck. The tattoo goes down towards her spine, and according to Healthline, getting a tattoo on her neck and back can be one of the more painful areas for ink. Hall’s third tattoo was documented via the star’s Instagram Stories. At the time, Hall only released a discreet photo of her getting tattooed by famed tattoo artist Landon Reese. Showbiz CheatSheet later confirmed that the former “Flip or Flop” star wore her husband’s name, Joshua Hall, in an infinity symbol on her wrist

What do Christina Hall’s tattoos mean?

Though she has few, each Christina Hall tattoo means something very special to her. According to Showbiz CheatSheet, Hall got her first tattoo, a list of Roman numerals because the numbers signified the dates of birth of her two eldest children. Before their split, Hall and Tarek El Moussa had two children; Daughter Taylor Reese and son Brayden James. In April 2022, El Moussa also decided to have his children’s birth dates tattooed.

Hall’s second tattoo, which reads “Still I Rise,” came at a very pivotal moment in the star’s life. She had announced she was divorcing her second husband, Ant Anstead, in a since-deleted Instagram post in September 2020. Just a few months later, the home designer took to Instagram again, but this time to show off some new ink. Hall captioned the post with a poem by memoir and civil rights activist Maya Angelou titled “Still I Rise.” Although Hall never confirmed what the tattoo meant, many fans speculated that she got the tattoo after her recent divorce as a reminder to get out of difficult situations.

The meaning behind Hall’s third tattoo is pretty obvious. Per showbiz, CheatSheetHall put her husband’s first name, Josh Hall, on her wrist. The name is enclosed in an infinity character. Again, Hall has never confirmed the exact meaning, but since infinity means “forever,” fans can only speculate their marriage will last until the end of time.
