Despite previous rumors of their split, Adele and sports agent Rich Paul seem to be still going strong. Trouble was reported to be brewing between the pair, which negatively impacted rehearsals for Adele’s residency show in Las Vegas: “Adele has been crying and hasn’t been able to get through a single full rehearsal for the last month. Just constantly on the phone with Rich… screaming and sobbing out loud,” per Page Six.
The rumors were compounded on top of a variety of issues with the stay. Preparations have been plagued by shipping delays, on-set creative differences and a COVID-19 outbreak among the show’s crew. Effective January 20, the residency was effectively terminated. Adele soon took to Instagram to explain the debacle, tearfully apologizing to fans who had bought tickets and were looking forward to seeing the show. She captioned the post, “All dates are being rescheduled, more info coming soon,” and while it took some time, she finally made good on the promise. In July, the “Easy On Me” singer announced her Las Vegas residency, Weekends with Adele.
There hasn’t been a word of production mishaps or behind-the-scenes drama, and with three months until premiere night, Adele is giving all her energy. Plus, she and Paul are still together and may be ready to take their relationship to the next level, according to a new Elle cover story.
Adele is all in with Rich Paul
The “30” singer is used to making, performing and breaking records, but now she’s setting one straight. Adele, who is covering Elle for September 2022, is taking back the narration about their relationship. When asked about her boyfriend, Rich Paul, she said: “I’ve never been in love like this. I’m obsessed with him.” After months of rumors about the couple’s status, she took it a step further, revealing that she could see herself marrying again and even having more children: “I’m a housewife and I’m a matriarch, and a stable life helps me with my music. But right now all I have on my mind is Vegas. I wanna fucking nail it.
While Adele’s stay in Las Vegas is her top priority at the moment, it’s a surprising revelation following her divorce from ex-husband Simon Konecki. The couple married in 2018 and separated in 2019, although they have been together since 2011. Much of Adele’s latest album ’30’ was inspired by heartbreak, with the song ‘My Little Love’ featuring the preservation with her son Angelo.
Back in November 2021, Adele admitted her feelings towards marriage in a Sirius XM interview with John Mayer: “I’m definitely open to marriage again. The feeling I had when I was married was the most secure feeling I have ever felt in my life. Unfortunately it didn’t work out, but I miss being married.” She also urged the “Daughters” singer to get married, which he never did despite his own storied love life.
